grass4.1 cell to erdas format

I have sent an uncompressed 1-byte depth cell file to somebody
who uses ERDAS to visualize. I know this can be done provided
you know the dimensions of the image but the person in question
cannot find an easy way to do it and I do not have ERDAS myself.
Could anybody e-mail me the necessary steps to visualize (or
import) an uncompressed grass4.1 cell file with ERDAS so that
I can tell this person? Thanks, it's really critic he sees this
result asap.

P.S. There's not r.out.erdas, right? Probably it's not needed.
