Importing Elevation data from an ASCII format

Hello,

	I have some data that was collected and is in the following 
format:

	Latitude	Longintude	Elevation(ft.)

My goal is to import this data into grass in elivation map.  The
final goal is to get a contour map.

I tried importing through s.in.ascii, and converting the data but
all I got was points (sites).  Can somebody point me in the right
direction?
