STELLA and DYNAMO

Juan,

As a student at the U of Illinois, I participated in an Army Corps of Engineers project which used GRASS, STELLA, and Fortran algorithms to model the movement of a sage grouse population across a disturbed army training landscape. Included in the full model were sub-sections for the hydrology, soil moisture etc.. Keep in mind that this model was by no means all inclusive, particularly in the modeling of watershed hydrology. It was, however, a very productive effort which was run, in the end, on a CM-5 connection machine. The output data were made into GRASS maps and animated for presentation. So...please feel free to ask any specific questions.

As for the specifics of your post, I guess the answer is, yes, STELLA is a very user friendly, robust, flexible, Mac environment, modeling tool. I say give it a try and good luck.
