GRASS on SGI?

Is there any way to run GRASS on a Silicon Graphics machine using the
window server that comes with SGI Unix Version 3.1 (i.e., NOT via
X windows) ?

(I realize this is probably a very stupid question, but I've got a chance
to get access to a Silicon Graphics box which the system administrator
doesn't want X on, and I'm reluctant to give up on the fantasy of
running SG3d ...)
