My apologies to those of you who have hunted for the r.le source code
on the ftp server in vain. The code for the r.le programs, sedescribed
in Landscape Ecology 7(4), is ready and working , but not quite ready
for distribution via the ftp server. We attempeThe holdup is that we attempted
to add a new feature, not sdescribed in the Landscape Ecology article,
and we still have a bug in ithat addition. Moreover, I do not yet have
the documentation translated into Postscript. If you so desire, you
can obtain a copy of the source code and printed documentation from
me now. I will have to ask you to send me a check for $20 in American
funds to cover the cost of docopying, mailing, diskettes, etc. Please
make the check ouyt t to the Department of Geography, Unitv. of Wyoming.
I will send the code ofn a 3 1/2~"3 1/2" diskette. However, I would prefer
that you instead wait a few sweeks until we have the bug fixed and
the documentation in Postscript. I intend to make the code available
on the ftp server or through an anonymous ftp site here, and you can
then obtain it at no charge. If you have questions, you please contaict
`me via E-mail (bakerwl at corral.uwyo.edu) or regular mail, rather than
by phone. I apologize for any inconvenience.
