user defined ellipsoids in GRASS

hi -
can anybody on this list help me with a problem in GRASS.  How do you
create a user defined ellipsoid in GRASS and then build a standard
projection such as a transverse mercator or a lamber conic conformal
on top of the new ellipsoid.
 
nayhelp , that's any help , is greatly appreciated.  spaecifically,
which commands can be run to do this.
