GRASS 4.1 compilation on Sil. Graph. Iris Indigo

Has anyone compiled GRASS 4.1 on a Silicon Graphics Iris Indigo.  I got the 
Installation Guide for GRASS 4.1 from  "moon.cecer.army.mil" and I followed
the instructions, but I can't seem to get it to compile.

If any of you can help me, please let me know. Thank you
