Current recommendations for PC UNIX for grass

What is the best current UNIX for a PC running grass.  Seems that some of
the choices are Linux, Interactive, SCO-Unix, and I suppose anything that
will compile grass source.  What is the recommenation for getting started
with fairly modest GIS objectives?
