And the winner is....

Thanks to all who replied, I used Mr. McCauley's suggestion and modified
the asc_to_bin.c file at src/mapdev/v.in.ascii and switched the x & y in
line 81.  I also went into the Gmakefile and changed references to "v.in.ascii"
on lines 22 & 24 to "v.in.trim" and then re-compiled.  After running MAKELINKS,
I have a nifty new utility named "v.in.trim" that reads a**-backwards Trimble
output.  (Or is it the original "v.in.ascii" that's a**-backwards?!)
