Just want to add that we've had many core dumps of r.poly using a SOLARIS
2.x/gcc compiled version of GRASS4.1 with all updates. Works fine on
SMALL coverages, but if I attempt to do vectorize anything extensive, I get
dumped out.
Also, on the problems that have been mentioned about v.trim: I've given up
considering it to be a viable tool, because of it has consistantly given
bizarre results (missing islands, line features looping back and connecting
to the beginning node over new paths , etc.). This has occured over various
versions of GRASS.
