Just want to add that we've had many core dumps of r.poly using a SOLARIS
2.x/gcc compiled version of GRASS4.1 with all updates.  Works fine on
SMALL coverages, but if I attempt to do vectorize anything extensive, I get
dumped out.

Also, on the problems that have been mentioned about v.trim:  I've given up
considering it to be a viable tool, because of it has consistantly given
bizarre results (missing islands, line features looping back and connecting
to the beginning node over new paths , etc.).  This has occured over various
versions of GRASS.
