ps.map postscript

I have a similar question to the one about ps.map not being able to be read 
by other programs.

I am having problems reading in the installGuide.ps file , basically it transers by ftp fine , I then uncompress it, now in postscript form it looks like junk 
when I print it out.

Any suggestions on how to make this file readable?
