I imported a dem into GRASS using m.dem.extract.  I now want to take this
file and export it into an image processing package (ENVI).  To import the
file into ENVI, I need to know the number of columns, rows and the number
of bytes per cell.  I looked in the header file and the dem has the
following dimensions:
rows:  1500
col:   1300
bytes:    4

However, that doesn't agree with the file size of 921,574kb.  I'm not sure
what is going on. Any ideas??
