XGRASS uses a file called "databases" to look up the absolute path to the
GRASS location. The default "databases" file is locate in $GISBASE/etc
directory. If you do not have write permission on $GISBASE/etc/databases file,
you will not be able to use the keyboard to input your database. To create
a new database, one must have a "databases" file in the $HOME/.xgrass directory.
With this file, XGRASS will allow the creation of a new database entries in
the $HOME/.xgrass/databases file. To create $HOME/.xgrass/databases file,
run the "xgdatabases" command which comes with the XGRASS software. This
shell script will append new database to the existing database in the
$HOME/.xgrass/databases file. If you can't find the "xgdatabases" command, then
just edit a file $HOME/.xgrass/databases. In the $HOME/.xgrass/databases file,
just add your database. Ex: /data/4.1
