Rainbow color table

I jumped the gun a little. I see in the programmer's manual that
the rainbow color table is a "shifted" rainbow color table (p. 115).
The shift moves the table from a red-yellow-green-blue (warm to cool)
to a yellow-green-blue-red sequence. I don't know the purpose of the
shift, but it would be useful to have a real rainbow (ROY G BIV) and
reversed rainbow (VIB G YOR) color table, to preserve the warm to cool
and cool to warm color logic. This came up because the output from
a solar radiation program would be best displayed in a reversed rainbow.
I know we can make our own-just wondered if anyone else had noticed this.
