r.le.pixel version 2.1beta

A beta version of r.le.pixel version 2.1 is now available on the
grass/incoming directory at moon.cecer.army.mil in file rlepixel21beta.tar.Z
r.le.pixel is the new name for what was called r.le.tex in version 2.0.5
of the r.le programs.

I would appreciate it if anyone who has used r.le.tex and is willing to
try out the new r.le.pixel code would do so before July 1, 1994 and inform
me of any compilation problems, bugs, or problems with the program.  I
will then release version 2.1 sometime in July (hopefully).

Version 2.1 of r.le.pixel has a new measure for mean, st. dev, maximum,
and minimum pixel value in a sampling area, allows multiple moving windows
to be run at once, and fixes several other minor bugs.  

For those who do not know, the r.le programs are a suite of contributed
programs for calculating a variety of common measures of landscape
structure from GRASS maps.  The r.le.pixel program can output 16 measures
of landscape diversity, texture, juxtaposition, and edge.

Please send any comments on the programs, bug reports, etc. directly 
to me.  I would very much appreciate anyone's help in trying out this
new code.
