Converting from nad83 to lat/long and putting in dxf format

I need help producing a dxf file in lat/long 
coordinates for a vector file.  I can export
to ascii and then transform to lat/long.  But
here is where I am finding it a bit difficult
because I am unsure of the header and the format
that the lat/long data should be in.  

If I could convert it the v.out.dxf file would
put it in the right format for autocad.


Does anybody out there work with lat/long to help
me with the ascii vector file?
