s.surf.tps for only 60 sites?

Fred the message about the "#" is correct for using s.surf.tps all your sites descritions should be preceded with a "#", the s.surf.tps will word fine
Use awk for inserting the "#"
awk '{print $1"|"$2"|#"$3}' <infile >outfile
This will do the job
