the files we have on our ftp server are changes to the sources
needed to compile grass for osf/1 on the alpha.
you would need to the sources to grass before our patches would be useful.
there is a new version of grass out since our patches were made,
so by the time you get your machine upgraded to run osf/1 we may
have a new version of our patches.  so once you are running osf/1
contact us again to see what the situation is at that time.
