Malcolm,

Thanks for the help, now that I know that is the correct way
tp print ps.map output I figured out what my other problem was.
When using ps.map you are prompted for either color or grey scale
for a raster map.  I selected grey scale because my output is a
b/w printer.  It appears that ps.map is asking for the status of the
original map.  When I changed my selection to color I was able to
print out a very nice map.
