Sharon,
  It has been a while since I have used RIM, however I do remember having
to design the screen layout for displaying the site records.  This can be 
done with the .make command, or through menu item 13) "Make a new data
base and Management Functions".  If you re-imported without such a 
definition file, then s.db.rim and v.db.rim can not recognize the data in 
the file, although rim itself can use the file/data.  Hope this helps, and
solves the problem.  We have moved on to Informix and are enjoying the
relational capabilities available there.
