coastal outlines

Dear GRASS users,

Does anyone know of an anonymous ftp site for the Defense
Mapping Agency World Vector Shoreline (WVS) data set?  Or
does one need to purchase it?

I am aware of the coastal outlines in the "global" data set
that can be downloaded from CERL.  Is that the same data?

My intent is to find a high resolution vector data set
from which a land/sea mask can be created.  Any other ideas
are greatly appreciated.
