printing to a file in mapgen

Hello!

Can anyone tell me how to print to a file in postscript in 
mapgen?

Or can I print to my hp550c deskjet directly?  

In order for my hp to understand postscript I use ghostscript.
I also have the driver off of /incoming for p.map.new
would this be of any help to me?
