world DEM

[DELCLAUX Frank]

Hi,
I've been told there was a world digital elevation model
which name is ETOPO or something like that.
I woul be interested to get some information about it concerning
the resolution, the way it has been computed, its accuracy
and its availibility (is it 'freeware' file, how and where can I get it, ...)
