[apologies if you've already seen this. I sent this four days
ago but I never saw it return to me via grassu-list -jdm]
I've created a GUI to 's.sv' and 'm.svfit' to
calculate/plot sample semivariograms and semivariogram models.
It's called "w.geostat" and is available in:
ftp://pasture.ecn.purdue.edu/pub/mccauley/grass
(as are 's.sv' and 'm.svfit').
'w.geostat' is UNSUPPORTED SOFTWARE, created only as a learning
exercise for tcl/tk (meaning that I'm not likely to reply to
complaints unless they are accompanied by diffs :)
However, it is fully functional and may be appreciated
by those who like pointy-clicky interfaces (as opposed to
command lines).
'w.geostat' is a 'wish' script. Install it in $GISBASE/scripts.
It works with tcl 7.3, tk 3.6, and g.gnuplot 3.5, so you'll
need these (versions?) installed on your system to use it.
For information on obtaining tcl/tk, see
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet/comp.lang.tcl
g.gnuplot may be made from
ftp://ftp.dartmouth.edu/pub/gnuplot/gnuplot3.5.tar.Z
(see makefile.g).
Enjoy,
Darrell
