Mark Robbins asked where a tutorial for GRASS could be found.

and look under Assist. You will find the postscript files are
corrupted, but can be edited to print (split the file at %!PS-Adobe -
6 files in all), but if you have WP5 grab that zip. Get the Leics
data set too - it's among the best tutorials I've seen. Whether it
will help you with data migration is another matter though; the
authors describe how they assembled the Leics data set in the
introduction.
