Error Message using ps.map

I get the same error message with our HP XL300, even with non GRASS 
Postscript ! - I've always thought it must be something in the printer 
setup, but the manual is pretty basic, so I've never been able to track 
it down.

If there is an answer I'd be grateful to know it as well.
