Greetings;

First, you may already know but the developer of r.water.fea is Dr Baxter Vieux at 
the University of Oklahoma, vieux at chief.ecn.uoknor.edu

My  interest is  radar-based precipitation data for use in runoff modeling. 
Specifically I am working on modeling of leaky wastewater systems that are 
overloaded and overflow during heavy precipitation periods.  The NEXRAD system 
now being installed in the US is very powerful, yet unfortunately very little work has 
been done to provide that data in a numerical form suitable for GIS input. Dr Vieux 
is one of the leading authorities in that area.

Would be interested in your knowledge of where the technology is in Europe 
regarding radar-based precipitation data used in hydrologic or wastewater modeling. 
 My understanding is they are ahead of the US.
