I have been attempting the same thing.  I have not had that much time to
devote to it, but I am slowly figuring it out.  You need to be careful of
how you bring the vector data into Arc/Info (i.e. polygon vs. line) because
your data may look different than it should if you do not pick the correct
one.

The person who has been offering me advice is Gail Taylor at USACERL
(taylor%vinny.cecer.army.mil).  She knows Arc/Info better than I and she may
be able to offer you some advice.
