1995 NORTHWEST CONFERENCE ON SPATIAL DATA
Integrating Information and Technology: It Makes $ense

Sponsored by the Northern Rockies Chapter of URISA
The Conference is intended to provide a forum for novice and expert users
of spatial data to interact and learn from each other. The most experienced
of users can become mentors and guides for those struggling to make the
transition into digital data processing. URISA sponsors include public
and private entities maintaining geographic information system resources.
Session topics include: Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Desktop Mapping,
Internet, Global Positioning Service (GPS), Remote Sensing, Image Processing,
Orthophotography, National Spatial Data Infrastructure, Geodesy, Datums,
Projections and Land Records Management as it applies to Resource Management,
Environmental Analysis, and Community Development.
Abstracts must be submitted by March 31, 1995 for review. Abstracts should
be 300 words or less describing the subject matter to be presented and be
in a common digital form such as Word or WordPerfect or ASCII on a 3.5" disk.
There will also be a Student Paper Presentation Competition with cash awards.
Students giving papers receive a free registration, all other students pay a
$50 registration.

National Geographic Data Clearinghouse
- Datums and Projections
A poster session will be held during conference. Please make arrangements
for necessary space for floor displays and extra large wall displays.
Conference registration costs are $145.00 each, and after March 15, 1995
the cost is $170.00 each. Makes checks payable to URISA.
