          GRASS/XGRASS for Linux on CD

The GRASS/XGRASS distribution on CD is ready. Due to a lot of problems, e.g.
in reformatting a lot of the html-man-pages and waiting for the testing-reports
the finalization of the CD was delayed.

The CD's are in press. Due to overload of the CD manufacturer the CD's will be
available for shipment on 12. June.

The final content of the CD:

GRASS/XGRASS 4.1.5 ready to run from CD
 GRASS/XGRASS sources including GRASS sources
                                        contributed programs
                                        related programs
some stuff from incoming on moon
GRASS/XGRASS binaries to be installed on hard-disk, if You have
      sufficient space (~150Mb)
GRASS example databases like Spearfish, Imagery, World
 GRASS manpages in html format
grassu/grassp mailing lists in html format

 additional software:

 gnuplot
 VIS-5D

The binaries are compiled with gcc 2.5.8, libc 4.5.26, XFree 2.1.1 and
Motif 1.2.4. The are linked statically. There should be no problem to
run the binaries on systems with XFree 3.x.
