Hello, for some reason when I run d.mon from an xwindows terminal 
windows I can start a monitor but I cannot select any monitor that I 
have started.  Consequently, I cannot run any programs which require a 
selected monitor.  Even when I specifically select a running monitor 
from the command line the changes do not seem to take hold and I cannot 
run a monitor-dependant program.

If someone could post a response I would appreciate it.
