Since I have been gone from the list this question may have been answered..
but I need direction..

I have grass dig files of soil lines based on the NAD27..what is the most
appropriate way to get those file to the NAD83 to match my NAD83 digital
orthos...are there software programs that already exist that will help me
in this procedure...v.transform ..lt4x...arcinfo...
will consider all possibilities..and appreciate any help or direction to
proceed.

Thanks

Pam,

NRCS GRASS release 4.13 beta incorporated the nad2nad shift in the v.proj
command.

Generate a file called DATUM_INFO stored under the PERMANENT mapset with
the following information:

For nad27 locations: For nad83 locations:

datum: nad27 datum: nad83
region: conus region: conus

Get into the new nad83 location and run v.proj.

Have fun,

Jill
