G_calloc out of memory

Hi,
I posted this already a few times could any one give me a hint on this error!

We work here with fp_grass under irix5.3. Trying to use r.reclass or 
r.mask I always got an error

G_calloc out of memory!

Is this problem already fixed or did someone found the answer to avoid 
this problem!
