sol 2.5.1 colormap allocation errors

This problem shows you are using a 24 bit colour map.
Switch the Xserver (openwindows) to an 8-bit mode and it will work in all
of the below cases.
X uses a colour map only in 256 colour map, and GRASS demands a colour
map. XDRIVER24 is a hack to use a 24bit display. It's a working hack,
however.
