Hello,
In the not too distant future I want to install GRASS onto a Sun workstation
that is running Solaris 2.6 - has anyone got a header file for the instalation
process, or any useful infomation on doing this.
Also what exactly and where is the latest version of GRASS?? I thought that
when CERL stopped funding research into it that version 4.1.5 was to be the
last UNIX version, and that LAS was to take control of it with GRASSLAND -
then I see that Baylor University has released Blackland GRASS for windows, and
GRASS version 4.2 and will release version 5.0 this year. I also seem to recall
seeing various versions of GRASS being developed for LINUX. Where exactly is
the "official" home of GRASS development now - are versions 4.2 and 5.0 simply
version 4.1.5 with the floating point patches and a few contributed programs
added, or are these versions really different.
Thanks,
Alastair Duncan
