Hi Brian,

if you have XView on your machine available you can open the tiff-file with it and save it as an sunraster-file e.g. (Of course netpbm or any other software will do this also). Than you should be able to import it to grass without any problems (r.in.sunrast will do it).

Hope this is helpful
Peter

I have some TIFF files which I would like to import into GRASS 4.1. I
have scanned the users manual for an appropriate command, but didn't seem
to find one. Is it possible to import TIFF and/or bmp files into GRASS
4.1? If so, what is the appropriate command(s). Thanks for any
suggestions.

Brian
