About map projections

Hello all,
I am having trouble with using GRASS command d.3d for my database
which is in Lattitude-Longitude projection. The Resoultion field
in the d.3d menu is set at 0.01 by default and I am unable to
view 3-d models with finer resolution since the Resolution field
seems to accept only 4 characters(e.g. 0.01). Any /suggestions
solutions for this problem would be most welcome.

Another question (a dumb one maybe!!), I am now digitizing a map
and trying to generate a vector file in the UTM format. The four
corners of my map are as below;
                  135:7:30          135:15:00
                    |                |
          34:45:00--1----------------2--34:45:00
                    |                |
                    |                |
                    |                |
                    |                |
          34:40:00--4----------------3--34:40:00
                    |                |
                  135:7:30          135:15:00

The UTM coordinates for the four corners of my map are obviously
different as below;
UTM for Corner 1: 511439.68,3844944.93 Zone 53
UTM for Corner 2: 522879.38,3844966.27 Zone 53
UTM for Corner 3: 511451.16,3835704.99 Zone 53
UTM for Corner 4: 522902.33,3835726.31 Zone 53

Which of these coordinates should be used while setting the GRASS
region?
Since GRASS region accepts only 4 coordinates (N,S.W,E) will this not
distort the UTM projected map?
