XDRIVER_24bit

Hello everybody,

I´m interested in using the 24bit mode on my Linux system instead of the 8bit
mode, to avoid all the problems with the colormap. Using XDRIVER_24bit in
TrueColor results in the following line,  while starting a monitor:

"got a TrueColor (Read-Only!) Visual"

What does it mean and are there any differences, problems or advantages
compared to 8bit?
