Cannot create locations !

Hello Grassers !

I´ve succesfully installed the new 5.0beta source code on Linux/suse61.

When i try to create a new location by typing a new location name in the
greeting window, nothing happens than it displays the existing locations.
After resizing the window, the whole stuff of "Location xxxx does not
exist - would you like to create it ?" and "Do you have all this
information for location xxxx?" and "Please specify the coordinate system
for location xxx" comes one after the other without waiting for an input.

Has anybody experienced something similar, or can give a hint how to solve
it ? Thanks
