r.in.doq with new USGS headers

We have downloaded the patch for r.in.doq GRASS for SunOS in order to read
the new USGS headers.  However,
we get an error message that reads as follows:

Using DOQ standard header
Unable to handle this data ordering: RASTER_ORDER left_right/top_bottom
        video display order*

Do you know anything about this that might explain this?  Thanks in advance.
