check the following url: http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/R/
For redhat linux you can get ready-to-install rpms from the PowerTools
CD or from their ftp-server. Look for R-base-0.62.4-2.i386.rpm and
R-contrib, R-VR etc. R is published under GPL.
