Terminal problems with grass4.2.1

Hello,
my name is mario palladino
I'm a phD student and I'm trying to install Grass on
our HPUX10.20 workstation.
The ultimate problem we are facing now is that when I
type g.help command, I cannot see the text on the HP
terminal (blank lines instead of text lines), while I
can see flashing text on a remote terminal (e.g.
qvtterm)and inverse text on Window's telnet.
Can anyone tell us where we can set the color?
