As I understand.  I worked Land Surveys (Cadastral) for ten years.  This
GPS was for recreational use.  It just didn't have the displayable map
detail I needed.
   As an aside this could be a promising business.  Here in North Idaho
while surveying I've got turned around several times and would have loved
a handheld GPS unit with the current areas QUAD on the display.  The brush
gets so thick on some of the hill sides you can walk right by a road and
never know it was there.
   Custom maps for 'recreational' GPS units!
