rgb 24 bit

I've been testing the new 24bit display.

First at all, thanks to Roberto Flor 
as this is a mjor concern for 
integrating rs imagery in GIS analysis.

My conclusion is that there is a very significant improvement, but
the results would be much better if we could use a d.rgb able
to generate at least 32^3=32768 colors instead of the
10^3=1000 colors that d.rgb or i.composite generate.
I might be wrong, but it seems to me that this improvement would
be much simpler that the XDRIVER-24bit development, would'nt it?
