DEM profile for telecommunications

Hi,

I am trying to use grass to generate profiles from a Digital elevation model database from GLOBE. 

I am using r.profile to get the values for the profile between two coordinates, but I'd like to get a table that give a table like this

Distance    Height
1 Km        200m
2 Km        210m
3 Km        150m

Unfortunaly, r.profile only give the values of the cell between the two coordinates, but does not give any information of the distance between those cell values.

Any help you could give me will be highly apreciated,
