v.in.arc

Hello,
I had export polygons with attributes (number of category and name 
(text) of category) into three ascii arc/info ascii formated files.  
And I had make it from other software, not from Arc/Info system. 
The command v.in.arc read all three files ok. and finsh import ok.
When I run v.support command areas/line ok. but all categories are 
empty - no values no texts - what I am doing wrong?

Please help me
