[GRASSLIST:2313] Is there such a thing as r.in.xyz ?

Hello Everyone

Is there a module that does the reverse of r.out.xyz, namely import an X Y
Z file into raster format. At the moment I use a clunky C program to
convert into r.in.ascii format, but it's rather slow.

Thanks
Roy
