Gaetan,

  None. The .dat, .id, .map and .tab are the four native format files in
which MI keeps objects and attributes. The .cap file is apparently specific
to that data set.

  What you need to do (or have done for you) is open that table, then export
the files. You'll then end up with the base name (or whatever name you gave
it) and the extensions .mif and .mid. These are both ASCII text files. The
former has all the information on the graphic objects, the latter holds the
attributes (if any) for each object. The two files are related by a
one-to-one relationship of .mid row to .mif object.
