Glynn,

  This answers my question: the geographic location is in the center of the
cell.

  FWIW, I'm working with 7.5-minute (30 m) dems, not the 3-arc second ones.
But, I assume the geographic location is the same: cell center.

  In Idrisi (which I used many years ago), I believe the geographic
reference was the lower-left corner of each cell; I don't recall how EPPL-7
did it.
