that's great ideas! We would welcome this contribution. Maybe (later) the
projection description file could be generated from a tcl/tk window to
have a full GUI interface to m.proj.

At time m.proj is untouched and waiting for improvements. Related updates
will be the integration of the latest PROJ4 library including datum
transforms. But this doesn't affect m.proj too much (at least not the
proposed improvements).

Perhaps you consider to switch over to "grass5" list for further details (if
required).
